Thapar University conducts Lateral Entry Engineering Test (LEET) 2017 for Lateral Entry admission to B.E./B.Tech. programme for diploma holders & B.Sc. (NonMedical) candidates at the 2nd year (3rd Semester) level of UG program.
Thapar University LEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria is as follows:
1. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
2. The candidate should have passed
a. Diploma (3 yrs) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade point after matriculation. OR
b. Diploma (2 yrs) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade point after 12th. OR
c. B.Sc. (Non-Medical) with 60%(55% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate
The candidate shall be eligible for admission in 2nd year of UG program if he has qualified LEET-TU with at least 20% aggregate marks (15% for SC/ST candidates)

LEET Thapar University 2017 Entrance Exam Pattern and Syllabus for diploma holders
Paper-I General: 40 questions in all with 10 questions in each of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
Paper-II Professional: 60 questions in the relevant engineering discipline each carrying one mark.
Negative Marking: There is negative marking and 1/4th marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Duration of Test: 120 minutes
Number of questions: 100 Questions
Type of questions: The question paper will contain multiple choice objective type questions of one mark each.
