RGPV diploma 3 years duration of program

The maximum duration for clearing all the courses (theory, practicals and Industrial Training etc.) of the programme shall be 6 years for 3 years Diploma Programme. However, for one mercy attempt shall be applicable.

RGPV diploma 3 years credit based grading system

The grades shall be awarded to the students on the basis of his continuous evaluation through performance in various examinations, laboratory work, assignments, class work, mid semester test (MST) etc. Following are the grades and their grade points:

From the above table, it is clear that RGPV DIPLOMA 3 YEARS passing marks are 31%. From this passing marks out of 70 is equal to 70x 31/100 = 21.7 which is 22 marks. Similarly, passing marks out of 30 is equal to 30x 31/100 = 9.3 which is 10 marks.

RGPV diploma 3 years minimum passing grade is D and minimum passing marks are 31% There will be no minimum grade point to pass for mid-semester tests. For the award of diploma, the required Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is 5.0.

RGPV diploma 3 years promotion to higher semester/ class

Promotion to even semester from odd semester: A student who took admission and also appeared in the examination of odd semester of a particular year will be automatically promoted to even semester of that year without any consideration of failing in any number of theory or practical of that semester.

The minimum passing grade is D and the student is required score minimum grade D in end semester examination of theory and practical parts of subjects/courses separately.

Promotion to 3rd semester from 2nd semester: A student who has appeared in the 2nd semester examination shall be promoted to 3rd semester subject to the condition that he/ she should not have failed in more than 5 subjects (theory & practical parts are considered as separate subjects) in the 1st and 2nd semesters taken together.

Example: Suppose you are failed in 6 subjects of first year (First Sem + Second Sem), you will not be allowed to take exams of third semester. Thus your third sem will be back.

Promotion to 5th semester from 4th semester: A candidate who has appeared in the examination of 4th semester for getting promoted to 5th semester should fulfill the following criteria :

(1) He/she has to clear 1st and 2nd end semester examination with a minimum CGPA of 5.0 in first year.

(2) he/ she should not have failed in more than 5 subjects (theory & practical parts are considered as separate subjects) in the 3rd and 4th semesters taken together.

RGPV DIPLOMA Improvement of grades: If a student has passed all the subjects of an applicable year but could not score a minimum CGPA of 5.0, such student can improve requisite grade points by reappearing in a maximum of 04 theory/practical subjects in the ensuing examination.

If the student has passed a semester examination in full with min grade point 5.0 he/she shall not be allowed to appear in that examination for improvement of division/marks or any other purpose.

RGPV diploma 3 years attendance rule

The student should have minimum attendance of 75 percent of the lectures delivered and of the practical classes held separately in each course of study.  A short fall in attendance up to 10% can be condoned by the principal of the college. Further a shortfall in attendance up to 5% can be condoned by the Vice-Chancellor of the University

RGPV diploma 3 years grace marks

A total of 5 grace marks may be condoned to the best advantage of the candidate for passing the examination, Subject to the condition that the candidate fails in maximum of two theory papers in a particular semester.

One grace mark will be awarded to the student who is failing/missing distinction/missing first division by one mark. This benefit will not, however, be available to a candidate getting advantage as mentioned above.

  2. Sir me polytechnic 3 year diploma kr rha hu. Sir muje 1st year me 1 subject me back hai,baki sem all clear hai, me 5th sem ka form nhi bhar pa rha hu. ydi me Dec me hone wale exam me 1year ka paper pass kr leta hu to, jun me hone wale paper me exam de paunga ya nahi. Kya muje year back lag gya hai??

  3. Sir mai polytechnic kar raha hu meri second year complete hone ke bad meri CGPA 5.0 se kum. Tha and next. Exam mai mera improvement hona tha par ghar mai gami ho jane se mai exam form nhi bhar paya to mera ek semester form nhi bhar pane se kya mai agle dusre semester mai exam form nhi bhar paunga kya ?
