Kakatiya University (KU) B.Tech Admission
For admission to the four year degree program in engineering a candidate must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana with subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
All the eligible applicants shall have to qualify in the common Entrance Examination. The admission shall be on the merit.
Kakatiya University (KU) Duration and Programme of Study
The program duration is 8 semesters (04 years). Each academic year shall consists of two semesters. The candidate can complete the course in max. 8 years.
Kakatiya University (KU) Attendance Rules
The candidate should have an attendance at least 75%. The Vice Chancellor may condone the deficiency in attendance to the extent of 10% on medical grounds subject to submission of medical certificate and payment of condonation feem, on the recommendation of the Principal/Head of the Department.
However, women candidates who seek condonation of attendance due to pregnancy, may be allowed the deficiency in attendance to the extent of 15%. Such condonation shall be allowed max twice during the program of study.
The prescribed fee for condonation of attendance on medical grounds should be deposited through Bank Challan/DD in favor of Registrar, Kakatiya University, Warangal.
Absence up to (4) weeks per semester may be allowed for candidates participation in N.C.C/N.S.S Camps or inter collegiate or inter University or inter State or international matches or debates or educational excursions or such other inter University activities. Such condonation shall be allowed max twice during the program of study.
Kakatiya University (KU) B.Tech Scheme of Instruction and Examination
There shall be Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and the Semester End Examination (SEE) as given here:

Following Kakatiya University (KU) Grades are allotted based on the marks secured in Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) + Semester End Examination (SEE)

A candidate shall have passed the subject, if he/she secures minimum marks / grade in the SEE plus CIE marks as given here.
Each theory course 40% E Grade

Following are the rules of promotion:

Note
If backlogs of a candidate are more than permitted, the candidate will be detained.
