JEE MAIN 2018 Exam dates are announced by CBSE. Folloing points need to be considered before appearing in the test.

1) 12th board marks have no weightage for calculation of final ranks.

2) However for admission in IIT, NIT, IIITs and CFTIs candidates should secure minimum 75% (65% marks for SC / ST Candidates) marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination.

3) Without Aadhaar number / 14 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID/UR No. (Including slash) candidate can not fill up the online application form. Clarification on Aadhaar number is released. Read here

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check their eligibility for appearing in the Test. Following is the eligibility criteria for appearing in the IIT JEE Main Exam.

  • As per age limit criteria Candidates should be born on or after October 01, 1993 ( October 01, 1988 for SC / ST / PWD Candidates).
  • Candidates should have passed their qualifying exam Class 12th Exam (10+2) in 2016 or 2017.
  • Students appearing in qualifying exam Class 12th Exam  in 2018 can apply for the test.
  • Max. Number of attempts for a candidate to appear in JEE Main are 03 (three).
  • Candidates should have appeared in at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying examination.

JEE Main 2018 how to fill Application Form

  • The online application form to be filled up by the candidates is available from 1st December, 2017.
  • The last date for submission of online application form is 01 January 2018.
  • The candidates are required to apply on website http:/www.jeemain.nic.in.
  • The candidates have to upload online their photograph, signature.
  • Candidates should not send hard copy of application. However, candidate should take a print out of filled JEE Main application form for future reference.
  • While feeling online application form The candidates shall fill up Aadhaar Card number or 14
    digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID/UR No. (Including slash).
  • The details filled by the candidate on application form should match with data of Aadhaar Card.

EXAM FEE Candidate can pay fee 1) By Debit/Credit Card. 2)Through E-challan generated after successful submission of online application form. The fee through E-challan may be deposited in any branch of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank.

EXAM PATTERN

Paper 1: (engineering courses (B.Tech/BE))

  • Paper will be conducted online and offline mode.
  • There will be 90 objective type multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • 4 marks for correct answer. -01 mark (negative marking) for incorrect answer.
  • Duration: 03 hours (04 hours for PWD Candidates).

Paper 2: (Architecture course. (B.Arch))

  • paper will be conducted in offline mode only.
  • 82 questions will be asked from Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing.
  • Duration: 03 hours (04 hours for PWD Candidates).
  • 04 marks for correct answer (2 questions of drawing will carry 70 marks).
  • -01 mark for incorrect answer. This is not applicable for drawing questions.

Admit Card JEE Main 2018

  • The candidate will not be sent Admit Card by post.
  • Candidates can download admit card from website www.jeemain.nic.in.
  • It compulsory to carry admit card during exam.
