Programme: UG programme in Science, Social Science, Arts and Commerce.
Duration: Min. duration 3 years (6 semesters) and Max. duration 6 years.
Credits:
01 lecture hour per week for one semester = One credit
01 tutorial hour per week for one semester = One credit
01 laboratory/ practical session of 2 hrs, per week for one semester = One credit
Credit Points: Grade Point X No. of Credits of a course
Grade Point: Numerical equivalent (integer) of a letter grade on a 10 point scale.

GULBARGA UNIVERSITY CBCS Course Evaluation Scheme
There shall be Continuous Internal Assessment (IA) and Semester Examinations (SE) to constitute the major evaluations prescribed for each Course. SE and IA to carry 80% and 20% respectively, to enable each Course to be evaluated for 100 marks, irrespective of its Credits
Odd sem exam shall be conducted in Oct/Nov
Even sem exam shall be conducted in April/May
GULBARGA UNIVERSITY CBCS Continuous Internal Assessment
Theory: 20 marks ( Test 10 marks – Two tests shall be conducted C1 and C2)
Practical: 10 marks (Practical Record duly certified / Assignment in case of non practical course – Subject teacher shall allot marks)
GULBARGA UNIVERSITY CBCS Minimum passing marks
- Theory Courses without practical: 32 marks in sem exam and aggregate 40 marks (Theory sem exam + IA)
- Theory Courses with practical: 32 marks in sem exam 20 marks in practical sem exam and aggregate 60 marks (Theory sem exam + practical sem exam + IA)
The candidate should have passed in all courses of 1st Sem, in order to appear in 5th sem exam.
The candidate should have passed in all courses of 1st Sem and 2nd sem, in order to appear in 6th sem exam.
The candidate shall have to appear as repeater in next offered exam if fails in any course. If a candidate fails in either theory or practical component of a course, he will have to re appear in both in exam offered next.

(i) The grading system with the letter grades and the assigned range of marks are as given below:

A student obtaining Grade ‘F’ in a Course shall be considered failed and is required to reappear in next offered sem exam.
Attendance Requirement
In each semester the student should have a minimum attendance of 75% in each Course.
A shortage in attendance upto 10% can be condoned (relaxed) by the Vice-Chancellor on the specific recommendation of the Principal of the college on showing valid grounds.
