DAVV BCA SEMESTER system rules passing marks ATKT & division are given here. State government has removed semester system in graduate courses BA / BSc / BCom and implemented annual system from 2017-18. However semester system is continued for BCA and BBA courses till 2018-19.

Salient features of DAVV BCA semester system 2011-12
Duration of the courses of study shall be 3 academic years.
DAVV BCA Minimum passing marks
In order to pass the examination the candidate is required to secure minimum passing marks as prescribed in the relevant scheme in the University exam separately in theory / practical in each of the prescribed subjects.
BCA Scheme minimum passing marks
BCA minimum passing marks are 13 out of 40 theory marks, 04 marks out of 10 Internal marks and 09 out of 25 practical marks. BCA minimum passing marks are 17 out of 50 theory marks.
An examine will be declared failed in a paper, if he fails to obtain (33%) Minimum Marks. Theory and practical papers will be counted separately.
DAVV BCA ATKT
An examinee failing in max 4 papers including the odd and even semester papers in a particular year shall be eligible to give ATKT examination.
An examinee can undertake even semester examination after the odd semester examination provided the candidate have not failed in more than four papers of the odd semester or previous semesters.
An examinee can undertake next part (Year) odd semester examination only if the candidate has not failed in more than four papers in previous year odd plus even semester examinations.
DAVV BCA Division
A student shall be awarded division as given below:
First Division shall be awarded if a student secure marks >= 60 % aggregate of three years.
Second Division shall be awarded if a student secure marks >=45% and <60%
Third Division shall be awarded if a student secure marks > =33% and < 45%
