Assam CEE 2020 Assam Combined Entrance Examination Overview
Online Assam CEE 2020 application form shall be available from March 2020. The Assam Science & Technology University, Assam will organize the Assam CEE 2020. This examination is conducted for admission to engineering progarmmes Offered in the institutes of Assam. Candidates interested to take admission in the 1st Semester Engineering Course of State Engineering Colleges are to apply online at the Official Website http://astu.ac.in for appearing in the Assam CEE 2020.
CEE Assam 2020 Exam pattern
The Test Pattern of CEE 2020 will consist of questions as given below
- Physics – 40 Questions
- Chemistry – 40 Questions
- Mathematics – 40 Questions
Marking system: Each right answer will be awarded 04 marks.
Negative marking: 01 mark for every wrong answer.
Question type and duration: The examination will be MCQ (Multiple choice questions) Type and comprise of a Single Paper of 3(three) hour duration
Medium of Assam CEE: The question paper shall contain questions in “English” and “Assamese” medium.
Syllabus: CEE-2020 will be similar to the NCERT Syllabus adopted by AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council), Assam. Check Assam CEE 2020 Syllabus link given below.

Important dates

Result of Assam CEE 2020 shall be announced on 14th May 2020.
CEE Assam 2020 Eligibility criteria
Following are the eligibility criteria for Assam CEE 2020
Nativity: The Candidate must be a domicile resident of Assam.
Qualifying Examination: The candidate must have passed in the qualifying examination in the same sitting without any grace marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The same sitting means a candidate must appear in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English together. There is a relaxation 5% for SC candidates and 10% for ST candidates.
CEE: The Candidate must appear in the CEE Assam – 2020.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be more than 21 years and less than 17 years as on 1st August 2020. There is a relaxation in the upper age limit to 22 years in case of B.Sc. passed Candidates. There is a relaxation in the upper age limit by 3 years for ST and SC candidates.
Admission procedure
Candidates shall be admitted strictly on the basis of merit of the Assam Combined Entrance Examination 2020.
If more than one candidate secures same marks in CEE Assam – 2020, then the merit will be determined by the total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in the qualifying Examination. If still there is a tie, then the total mark obtained in PCM and English in the qualifying examination will be considered. In case there is a further tie, then the tie will be broken by draw of lot by the Chairman of Selection Committee.
Exemption
The following candidates are exempted from appearing in the CEE – 2020
Candidates who are nominated against reserved seats allotted for other States, Union Territories and Foreign Countries if they satisfy the other condition for eligibility.
Candidate having First position Rank holder(s) in the Higher Secondary (Science) Examination of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council with not less 85 % marks in aggregate in the year admission is required.

Assam CEE 2020 application form
It is the Online Form of CEE 2020 uploaded by Directorate of Technical Education, Assam. The candidates will fill up this form online in order to appear in entrance examination CEE 2020. It is not required to send hard copy of application form.
Application fee
Application Fee of Rs. 600/-(Six hundred only) can be paid using “State Bank Collect” through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Fee can be deposited in cash at any Branch of State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form from “State Bank Collect”.

Checklist of Documents for counselling:
Candidates called for Counseling for Admission in Government Engineering Institutions are to bring the following documents in Original for verification along with self-attested photo copies of the following documents:
- Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC): to be issued by D.C./S.D.O.(Civil) of concerning District /Sub-Division
- The Caste/Category Certificate as mentioned in the Information Booklet (if Applicable)
- Admit Card of the CEE- 2020
- 10th Admit/Pass Certificate for Age Proof issued by Board/Council
- 10th Mark sheet
- 12th Admit Card
- 12th Mark sheet
- Academic Gap Certificate
- Character Certificate from Head of the Institution last attended.
- Recent passport-size photograph.
