Veterinary Council of India use NEET (UG) score for allotment of seats under 15% All India quota. Candidates who are interested in taking admission in all India quota of B.V.Sc & A.H. course should take NEET. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance exam for students who want to study medical / dental course (MBBS/BDS) in government or private medical colleges.The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG will be conducted by the NTA- National Testing Agency. Previously NEET was organised by CBSE. Notification for All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) counselling shall be issued by Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi. Centralized counselling shall be organized for filling up 15% of the total number of seats in Veterinary Colleges in India for the course of B.V.Sc & A.H. It is a 5½ years duration course.

Eligibility criteria for admission
Qualifying Examination: Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or Intermediate in Science or equivalent to 10+2
Subjects in QE: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Bio-Technology and English securing 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects (47.5% for SC/ ST/ OBC).
Age: The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years or more than 25 years as on 31st December. The maximum age limit is 30 years for SC ST and OBC candidates.
Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian national except a domicile of J & K state.

Admission of students to BVSc&AH (Bachelor of veterinary science and animal husbandry) degree course shall be made only on the basis of student’s merit secured in the Merit of NEET –UG subject to fulfillment of the other criteria given above.

Reservation
(1) SC candidates: 15% seats are reserved,
(2) ST candidates: 7.5% seats are reserved,
(3) OBC candidates: 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer
(4) Physically Handicapped candidates: 3% seats are reserved on Horizontal basis.
AIPVT COUNSELING 2020
(A) The online centralised counselling for admission to B.V.Sc.& A.H. degree course shall be conducted by VCI- Veterinary Council of India.
(B) The seat allotment to the candidates for admission to Veterinary degree course under 15% seats on All India basis shall be applicable to on the recognized Veterinary Colleges [Government and Private) in India (except from Jammu & Kashmir State).
(C) The candidate’s eligibility criteria, various documents etc. shall be verified by the allotted College at the time of reporting/admission
(D) There may be variation in respect of start of academic session, tuition fees, deposit and refund of fees, etc, from College to College. The candidate shall have to follow the rules and regulations of the concerned College/ University/ State Government during his/her studies in B.V.Sc. & A.H. course.
(E) The VCI shall conduct online counselling for allotment of seat/ college only.
Fee AIPVT Counselling 2020
Fee for online registration is Rs.1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs.500/- for
SC/ST/PH candidates. Fee for OCI/PIO candidate is Rs. 1000/-
