NIT MCA Common Entrance Exam NIMCET is usually conducted in the month of May. This test is conducted for admission in to Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme of National Institute of Technology 'NIT's. The candidate who is interested in taking admission in the MCA course of National Institute of Technology should take in NIMCET 2018. NIMCET ranks are accepted for giving admission by many Institute of the various States. In this section the readers will understand about how to apply for NIMCET 2018, syllabus for the test, various test centers in India, list of participating institutes with total number of seats, seat distribution, contact addresses, etc. NIMCET Notification 2018 is not released yet. Following details are based on last year exam:

First of all the candidate is required to do registration on the official website.
Candidate will receive One time password (OTP) on his / her mobile number which
will be required to complete the regstration process. Following Documents will
be required by the candidate to fill NIMCET 2018 online application form:
(i) Copy of all the certificates and copy of marks sheet of X Class and qualifying degree,
(ii) scanned copy of recent passport size photograph, Scanned copy of signature of candidate;
(iii) Online Application Fee Payment receipt;
The candidate should fill up very carefully all the details in the online application
form. The candidate will be required To fill up personal details, educational
qualification, fee payment details, etc.
Finally, the candidate should take print of the generated application form. The candidate should send hard copy of application form along with relevant documents to NIMCET office by speed post/ registered post.
NIMCET Application is Rs. 2,000/- for OPEN / OBC category and Rs. 1000/- for SC / ST category candidates (GST extra).
Following is the eligibility criteria of NIMCET 2018:
1. Candidate should be a graduate B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons) / BCA / BIT(with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject) with 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (with 55% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST) on a 10 point scale OR should have passed in B E /B Tech
2. Candidates apearing in final exam can also apply.

There will be one test paper containing objective type of 120 questions. Each question will carry 04 mark. For giving wrong answer negative marking of 01mark each will be done. unattempted questions will be awarded zero mark.
Topics of test paper will be as follows;
Computer Awareness It will have 10 questions
2. Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning It will have 40 questions
3. Mathematics It will have 50 questions
4. General English It will have 20 questions
Syllabus for NIMCET will be that of graduate level.
